kukiikun asked: Do you still have the selvage of the brocade that you used for Effie's dress (it may have some info on the fabric on it)... I am going insane trying to find it :(

I am so sorry but there is nothing on the fabric or the receipt. The store that had it said it was a custom order and they only had 2.5 and 3.5 yards of it. Myself and another Effie teamed up to buy it because it was the last of it and we searched for 4 months for it.

I know NYC fashion district has the fabric but the flowers are in different colors.

Homemade Effie Trinket costume.

So much love! How did you style that wig? It looks perfect!

jaymamaystohostsnl asked: Hello! I was wondering if you had the names/number of the fabric for Effie's dress that you found! Thanks:)

Unfortunately, I don’t. The sales clerk informed me that the cloth was a custom order and once it was gone, its gone. The fabric and pattern is Pink Brocade with a Peony Flowers. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

4 months of searching has yielded this beauty!!!
I can not tell you how happy myself and another Effie are for finding this. It was a great team effort. She searched NY fashion district and surrounding area and I covered NY’s Chinatown and the Washington DC/Maryland area but with little success. We each found a similar fabric but the flowers were off and was extremely frustrating. But luckily a mutual friend pointed us in the right direction and we got the very last 6 yards the store had!!! It was a BIG BIG BIG day for us.
Costume will be debuted at a photoshoot in July and at Dragon*Con. May the odds ever be in your favor.

REBLOG TO SUPPORT RUE AND CINNA

Recently the actors who play Rue and Cinna have come under attack from Racist fans of the Hunger Games. Reblog if you support the casting of Amandla Stenberg, the adorable and talented actress who plays Rue, and Lenny Kravitz, the unquestionable genius who plays Cinna.

Hey, remember that time a UMD player threw a punch at one of JMU’s players while on the pitch? And shoved him to the ground after the JMU player had lost the quaffle?  Yeah. I remember that time.

Looking at the video, JMU’s keeper put UMD’s chaser into a headlock after both of them collided from their forward momentum. As a head referee, myself, the yellow card was justified. Sorry, I call it how I see it.

Half dozen arrows for moonflowerlights, my Girl on Fire.
Finally done! Each arrow takes 3-4 hours to make but well worth it.
Clear fletchings are individually made, cut, and painted, so they are very fragile and should be only used for prop purposes. There are real arrow nocks on the end so they will fit any bow.

Katniss Everdeen’s Training and Arena Arrow

Made for moonflowerlights as a surprise! She is the Katniss to my Effie for the midnight premiere and D*C. The prop designer who designed the arrows to have clear fletchings, I have to applaud you for making my life difficult. But its so BEAUTIFUL!!!

Thinking about cosplaying Crowley.

The tie. Its notoriously hard to locate the exact one or one similar. But worth it cause Mark complimented me on my accuracy.

yourenotinthisalone:

But the cosplay is too simple. I mean, I just have to look for the shirt and the jacket.

Maybe I should wear something charectaristic about Crowley… but what? Maybe a gun?

Help would be awesome.

Hypocrites the lot of them. You abandon Cas for making a deal with Crowley then go around and make a deal with Crowley.
